Digital Ink Jet T-Shirts
When considering acquiring T-shirts in Columbia Mo., there are many different options and more than just one way of getting things done.
Sometimes digital inkjet offers a cost-effective alternative when the job involves a large amount of colors and a small quantity of tee shirts.
A traditional screen printing application requires color separations. Each color has to be pulled out from the other. Every color in the image will have its own individual screen. When all the screens are laid on top of each other, they must register perfectly.
This process requires the same exact amount of work regardless of whether the run is composed of 500 T-shirts or just one.
An inkjet application does away with all that.
It doesn't require any color separations or any films.
Think of a common inkjet printer. But instead of feeding it a piece of paper, you feed it T-shirts.
This process uses a water-based ink instead of a traditional plastic ink. Normal silkscreen printing ink will sit on top of the shirt while a water-based ink will actually soaked into the material of the shirt and become one with it. This results not only in a very soft to the touch and feel, but it will usually out last the traditional method.
This option is every bit as durable as a typical screen printing method. After time, traditional plastic ink will tend to crack.
The life span of this type depends on many different variables ranging from how often do you wear the garment, to how often you wash it. We strongly recommend that you use a laundry detergent that does not contain bleach. We would also recommend that you turn your T-shirt inside out before you wash it. If you take these measures, then you can normally expect the image to last every bit as long as the garment itself.
We would be glad to show you some examples that we have done for other customers.
This is definitely the preferred method if you are looking to reproduce a photograph onto your tee shirt. The cost for this type of application will be determined by the amount of units that we will be applying the image to. Artwork is like a snow flake where every piece of art is going to be unique unto itself.
When quoting your job, we will try to come up with an arrangement that will be equally good for everyone involved. It is our goal that you are as comfortable using us for your screen printing and embroidery jobs as we are doing it for you.
Putting an order together is as easy as 123 especially if you happen to live or attend school in Columbia Mo..
Keep in mind that the finished product will never be any better than the artwork that it came from. If it is low resolution, then the quality of the finished product will be compromised.
If your image looks blurry or grainy and it is only 5 inches tall, it is only going to get worse when you enlarge it.
Here is the best way to tell if your image is clean enough to give you a great finished product.
Just print it out on a white clean 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. If it looks good on paper, then it is going to look good on the shirt.
We would recommend that the image we start with is composed at 300 dots per inch.
